My inspiration for Jewell Event Design is to provide superb personal and detailed service for weddings and special events. I have worked in the event industry and specialized in wedding planning for the past 30 years and have worked on every side of the industry (venue management, catering, floral design, production, tech producing, and event design & decor). I have consulted and assisted in opening several fabulous venues, making me an expert in my profession (although I still find moments for learning!) My knowledge and love of the industry, attention to detail, and comedic sensibility are what support my passion for assisting my clients in navigating the wedding and event industry—this job allows me to utilize my style and personality in everything that I do!

I perform short and long form improv, sketch comedy and game improv. I also work as a commercial and film actor. My sense of humor keeps me balanced!

I am totally serious about the beach. Also, I love an engaging book, running and hiking, good music, a glass of wine, watching beautiful mountain sunsets and hanging out with my son.
Loves to Step Out of Her Comfort Zone
I can't believe I tried skydiving! I am not a fan of flying, so getting on a tiny plane—and then jumping out of a tiny plane—were never on my to-do list. It was amazing and terrifying all at the same time. I'm so proud of myself for doing it!

I sincerely enjoy every second of it. But my biggest joy is watching a couples' vision come to life on their wedding day and knowing I'm there so they can relax and enjoy all of it. I love that two people have welcomed me into their story—it's a very special feeling to get to know them and understand their bond from behind the scenes. And then, the flowers. Let's not forget beautiful flowers!

I am a Montana native and studied hospitality and restaurant management in college. I have been planning events in Colorado for the past seven years.
The details of event planning keep me passionate and seeing the vision of an event come to life is the best part of the day for me. I am realistic and knowledgeable about all aspects of planning a perfect event, and I truly love making a client’s visions a reality.
Fun facts about Kari: I am a total fitness enthusiast and help run a Crossfit gym in Broomfield, CO with my husband.
Michelle Miracle—Los Angeles
ASSOCIATE WEDDING & EVENT PLANNER/ONSITE COORDINATOR SPECIALIZING IN BAR & BAT MITZVAHS
With a background in television post-production, project management, and coordinating events for one of the largest Jewish communities in Los Angeles, I bring a lot of skills to the table. I will vet the best vendors depending on your needs, as well as hire and oversee the expert staff that will carry out all the details of your special day. I am the “boots on the ground” for all events in Los Angeles.
No stranger to large-scale events (can you say Jewish High Holy Days services for 1000 people daily over five days? No problem!), I have been in Los Angeles for 12 years and know this city inside and out. Leanne and I have been friends & associates for almost 20 years, and together we make a great team—focusing on all the things you don’t want to think about—so you can just have fun and enjoy your day!

I was born and raised in Little Rock, Arkansas. I moved to Colorado seven years ago and it quickly became home. I am passionate about the wedding and event planning industry and I enjoy the thrill of precise planning, being organized, thinking through the little details, and all the twists and turns along the way. I enjoy seeing a couple’s vision come to life and watching the faces of their loved ones on their special day. I cannot wait to meet you and help your dream day become a reality!
