When Comedians Get Married!

Michelle & Nima

January 1, 2018

Los Angeles, California

I mustache you a question! When your clients play “rock, paper, scissors,” during their wedding ceremony, you know you’re in for a real treat! I cannot begin to say how much fun I had being the wedding planner for Michelle & Nima’s La La Land wedding! These two comedians knew how to balance a beautiful wedding with fun, friends and family. From ALL of the guests donning fake mustaches for the ceremony and reception, to their grand entrance when they danced in dressed in costume as an elderly couple and treated us to a special dance, their wedding was a fun night for everyone!

Michelle wore a vintage wedding dress that she had made from two dresses, with hints of beautiful turquoise blue in the skirting, as well as her shoes. For Michelle’s bridal bouquet, I created a custom bouquet that had deep meaning for her.  Her vision was so special. Michelle wanted a bright and happy bouquet that incorporated some trinkets that belonged to her parents, who are no longer with us. I incorporated a couple of her father’s tie pins, a cufflink, and a photo of her parents into the handle of her bouquet. She also wanted her father’s tie to be incorporated and that was a little trickier, but I think it turned out beautifully on the base of the handle. She loved it and it was so special.

Being a comedian as well, Michelle and Nima let me join right in on the fun with a few off-the-wall photos. They were in such a beautiful location with a lot of fun photo opportunities! The persian food served throughout the evening was AMAZING and over the top with courses. The decor was beautiful, the dancing was fun and the party went on late into the night! I enjoyed this wedding so much!

Congratulations Michelle & Nima! I wish you many lifetimes of happiness, joy and fun together! Keep making each other laugh.

Stunning Floral Garden Romance!

Danielle & Nick / June 17, 2017

Ceremony Location: Chautauqua Park – Boulder, CO

Reception Location: St. Julien Hotel & Spa – Boulder, CO

Words cannot express the loveliness of this wedding! This is one of my all time favorite weddings, not only for the gorgeous decor and flowers, but the couple and family were amazing and so fun to plan with! What a wonderful group of people. Seeing this wedding come to life was one of the greatest joys I’ve had as a wedding planner. The whole day from beginning to end was flawless and perfectly executed.

Danielle was STUNNING in her made-for-her wedding dress and we could not get enough of her elegance. Nick was so handsome and the way that he looked at Danielle all day was so loving and wonderful to witness. They are such a cute and loving couple and it was so fun to watch them in all of their happiness on their special day. The flowers and design details by Design Works and Jewell Event Design were stunning. Hours of work and set up went into this wedding and no detail was left undone. The photos captured by Beth Photography are stunning and really captured every moment of this wedding. It was so difficult to narrow down all of the amazing photos for this blog! The ceremony was set in front of the gorgeous backdrop of the Flatirons in Boulder. The reception at the St. Julien Hotel & Spa was perfection. The guests enjoyed gourmet hors d’oeuvres followed by a delicious plated meal. The wedding cake provided by Intricate Icings out-shined many details and was designed to mimic the lace design in Danielle’s wedding dress. The live band Soul School provided a fun night of dancing, which had every guest dancing throughout the whole evening. This was a fun wedding and party!

Congratulations Danielle & Nick! I wish you every happiness in your journey together!

Simple Elegance with Traditional Ukrainian Flair!

Roxana & TJ / May 6, 2017

Ceremony Location: Ukrainian Catholic Church – Denver

Reception Location: Rembrandt Yard – Boulder

Roxana & TJ were married on a beautiful day in May, and what a lovely and fun couple they are. The Colorado landscape provided a gorgeous backdrop for their stunning wedding day photos, captured by Mallory Munson Photography. The happy couple started their day at the home of the bride’s parents in Denver for a private traditional Ukrainian ceremony, followed by their beautiful traditional ceremony at the Ukrainian Catholic Church in Denver.

The reception that followed at Rembrandt Yard in Boulder was stunning and intimate, which provided the perfect backdrop for their gorgeous decor and centerpieces, highlighted by the brides Ukrainian traditions. Gold-toned linens provided by Soiree Linen, accented with burgundy florals with touches of natural wood made the reception warm and inviting. The gorgeous variety of hand painted cakes provided by Shamane’s Bake Shoppe and Piece, Love & Chocolate highlighted the dessert table. Greens Point Catering provided outstanding food & service, which was followed by an amazing dance party with music by The Fever. This group could dance and had so much fun tearing up the dance floor!

I really enjoyed every moment of working with this couple, who reside in New York but met in Boulder. Seeing their wedding day vision and traditions come to life, along with the smiles on their faces was priceless. Congratulations Roxana & TJ!
